Drainage
Our clay soils don't absorb winter rain — they shed it, and it ends up against foundations, under patios, and in low spots that stay swamped until May. We diagnose where the water actually comes from and build the fix: French drains, area drains, channel drains, downspout tie-ins, and regrading that moves water to daylight or an approved discharge point.
Scope
What’s included
- Diagnosis of where water comes from and where it needs to go
- French drains with proper rock, fabric, and pipe
- Area drains, channel drains, and catch basins
- Downspout collection and solid-pipe tie-ins
- Regrading of low spots and negative slope against the house
- Surface restoration after trenching
Process
How it works
Assessment
We trace the water's path — roof, slope, neighbor runoff — rather than guessing from the puddle.
Design and proposal
A written plan for collection, routing, and discharge, with the trench routes mapped.
Install
Trenching, pipe at consistent fall, rock and fabric where the design calls for it.
Test and restore
Water-tested, then the surface put back — lawn, rock, or hardscape — the way we found it or better.
Service area
We serve greater El Dorado County and Sacramento County — Placerville, Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, and the communities between.
